OpenFOAM® Technical Committee on Turbulence

OpenFOAM has become the leading open source software for CFD, with significant support from academia and industry alike. At Upstream CFD, we believe that future success of the code depends on effective and structured collaboration between the various members of the OpenFOAM community, for the benefit of all. We therefore support recent initiatives by OpenCFD Ltd to establish an open, inclusive and transparent Governance framework for the code. We’re furthermore proud to report that Upstream’s co-founder, Charles Mockett, was elected to chair the Technical Committee on Turbulence within the Governance structure. Charles is currently forming the initial committee and looks forward to the opportunity this presents to have a positive influence on turbulence model development in OpenFOAM via effective community engagement.
